	CASTIGLIONE del LAGO Let’s colour the skies The event, first established in 1982, was born out of the lucky encounter between Oliviero Olivieri, the President of the Italian Kite Association, the commune of Castiglione del Lago and the Tourist Promotion Agency of the Trasimeno. The friends of AIA were truly pioneers of the Italian kite world which started off with them, and, during the years before, this activity underwent a tough increase in the rest of Europe. 	ASSISI National Antiquarianism Fair The exhibition is organized yearly by the C.I.M.A. srl. As time went by, the review has grown, the number of exhibitors increased (around 90) as well as that of the visitors. The past 2003 edition registered over 15,000 people: not only antique art experts but also common curious and keen visitors. Year by year "Assisi Antiquariato" managed to obtain a certain importance in Italy's most important exposition circuit. It is a fundamental event for all beauty and emotion devotees.
	TERNI Cantamaggio "Cantamaggio" is a popular festival celebrating spring's return and nature's awakening. It is characterized by the parading of both the town quarters and the small villages' in surrounding area allegoric wagons. Before the latter takes place festival organizers together with cultural associations and theatre groups give way to the creation of plays, exhibitions and all kinds of other shows.
	NARNI Ring Race This medieval event is in honour of Saint Giovenale. It begins with a Historical Parade held on the night before the two races, where knights and the town inhabitants challenge each other in the attempt to transfix a ring by using their lances.
	CASTIGLIONE DEL LAGO Endurance horse riding master championships A discipline which fits in perfectly with the landscape beauties and cultural and historical treasures of the region where master endurance horse riding is performed and with horses, the one and only protagonists of this sport.
	GUBBIO Ceri Contest Festival This event is held on the eve of patron Saint Ubaldo's death and has become one of Italy's most famous and typical religious and popular events. The Ceri di Gubbio are now indeed part of Umbria's official coat of arms. It's a one day event and the Ceri, three massive wooden monoliths weighing around 4 quintals, surmounted by the statues of Saint Ubaldo, Saint Giorgio and Saint Antonio, are quickly carried on bare shoulders towards the wax-chandlers. The itinerary starts off from the town's historic centre and ends at the top of Monte Ingino, where the patron saint's Basilica is. The wax-chandlers face a winding itinerary through the town streets and in the Monte's steep climb are preceded and followed by an excited and praising crowd.
	May 21st - 22nd CASCIA (PG) Saint Rita of Cascia Celebrations The celebration dedicated by Cascia to Santa Rita is extremely articulated as it is composed by liturgics moments, spaces for meditation and prayer, according to a liturgy which first started almost 50 years ago. Believers from all over the world, as to meet the message of peace which Saint Rita left in everyone's heart, gather to remember the Saint who was above all a humble woman of great faith who set out to forward ideals of peace.
	Last Sunday in May GUBBIO Cross-Bow Contest Among the various events in honour of Saint Ubaldo, Gubbio's patron, the Palio della Balestra, a cross-bow contest, plays an important part, and is held each year in Piazza Grande on the last Sunday in May. The archers in Gubbio challenge their Tuscan colleagues of San Sepolcro in the Palio, in an uninterrupted event which is documented and goes back to 1500s. Gubbio and San Sepolcro's palio have survived during centuries: Gubbio each year organizes its palio on the last Sunday in May, while San Sepolcro hosts Gubbio's archers on the second Sunday in September.
	May 23rd - 25th PIEDILUCO (TR) “Paolo d’Aloja Memorial” International Rowing Regata Each year canoe devotees from all over the world meet at the regatta in the wonderful setting of the Piediluco Lake. Participants are over 30 with the presence of Olympic and worldwide champions.
