Saint Valentine Celebrations

Saint Valentine, Terni's patron and protector of the lovers around the whole world, every February the 14th, renews his love miracles. As a protagonist of distant stories, which fade to legend, his fame overcame national boundaries, climbed over mountains and crossed the continents. Valentino is the saint of all lovers, from Japan to the States, South America, Asia and Oceania. However, quite few people know the saint and real story of the martyr, whose rests are kept in Terni. Valentine events which render Terni, for the entire month of February, the city of Saint Valentine, the city of love, are not merely religious. Terni turns into a romantic and welcoming place: it offers a network of shops, hotels, cinemas, theatres and revenues, while providing great shows, cultural encounters, art and knowledge itineraries. This way a rich series of events, celebrations, ideas and love gadgets. An idea associated to the event is the Mostra di Arte Orafa: a contest which awards the set jewel made for Valentine's day.
