Roman
Umbria
One of the
first Italian regions to encounter the Roman world, Umbria was directly
involved in Rome's expansion. Roman centers came to life on the whole
territory, some developing and achieving a leading role in the historical
episodes of the capital. The itinerary is articulated in a historical
setting and in an analyses of monumental rests which are in a great number
and of great scientific interest. The latter allow to discover the way
a Roman city was organized and set out, focusing on its walls, domus,
amphitheatre, forum, theatre, and tombs.
